The two following walking trails are in the center of the park, for which you need a (free) permit of the National Park management. This is easy to get, e.g. from the management in El Bosque. Just give the management a call and have them send it to you by fax or pick it up in person. During main season a reservation well in advance is recommended.(call 956727029)

Garganta Verde: A highlight of the park is the 400 meters deep canyon Garganta Verde, the “Green Abysm”. From Puerto de Los Acebuches a path goes into the canyon all the way to the stalactite cave Ermita de la Gaganta, the last part of it on very steep steps carved into the rock. This canyon is one of the preferred living spaces of the local griffon vulture that circles above the heads of the wanderers. Under professional guidance you can also do canyoning here.

Torreón: After the ascent of the Torreón (1.654 m) climbers can expect a beautiful view over the Sierra de Grazalema and if the weather is good you can even see Africa. Due to forest fires the track is closed during summer months.

Pinsapar: Passing the peak of San Cristobal, the track leads from Grazalema through the biggest “Pinsapo” forest in Andalusia, along the northern slope of the Sierra de Pinar all the way to Benamahoma.

Outside of the protected areas and therefore without permission, you can enjoy the following tracks:

Salto del Cabrero: The Salto del Cabrero is one of the landmarks of the Nature Park Sierra de Grazalema. One of the most beautiful tracks passes it. Legend has it that once an unlucky enamored goatherd leaped to his death from the higher one of the two opposing rock faces. Therefrom the cliff got its name.

In the region many many more beautiful hikes are possible. On request we can offer a transfer to the start and destination points. On some routes, Tobias can accompany you. And we have detailed information and maps ready for you.
